Videos from my Phone

I found some videos on my phone!
And I just figured out how I can upload them!
Too fun.

Booger Hollow: The Flies of May

Booger Hollow: The Flies of May
by Jenna

To live in Booger Hollow
means to follow
a code of conduct (in a way).

For in Booger Hollow
you are expected to swallow
a gallon of Flies of May.

A gallon, 4 quarts
(of questionable sorts)
to be digested every day.

There are those who delight
and those polite
and those who say "No way!"

But beware a rejection
is seen a defection
and punished with no delay.

Consider Smithy Boone
stomache's contents astrewn
after his first irregular culinary foray.

The townsmen stood aghast
at seeing the last
little flitter of their Flies of May.

"To the gallows" was their cry
with a gleam in their eye
much to Smithy Boone's dismay.

Strung up in the town
for not able to down
a gallon of their dear Flies of May.

Consider this admonition
or you will leave with attrition
if you don't steer clear of the Booger Hollow Cafe.

Weekend

We had a great weekend! (Except for Sunday. My tummy hurt all day and I didn't eat anything, but I feel better now :) We hung out with our wonderful friends Brandy and Joey-who are getting married in October. We went to Pops restaurant in Arcadia. It had a huge sodapop bottle out front! It's unique because it's famed for all of their soda selections...over 500 different bottled flavors to choose from! I ended up getting a chocolate coke (it was actually pretty good!) and Blake got some unknown root beer flavor. The food was good...but man, really greasy. I could only eat about half my onion burger and a few fries. Then we watched the movie "Defiance." I liked it!

The Soda statue

The outer wall as you walk into the restaurant...lined with full bottles!

All of our drinks by the time we left!
(it's root beer not real beer)

Me and Blake. Full of hamburgers and coke.

Well, other goings on is that Blake is going to Nashville next week to start recording a new CD! It will be a simple Hymns project so we hope it will sell really well so we can save up for an even bigger project next year. We are still waiting on that quartet Blake sent his materials to to call. They are still deciding on who they want to hire. So we're crossing our fingers and should know in a couple of weeks! It would definitely be a big life change, but I'm up for it if it happens. But, I am also okay with it falling through because I dearly love my OKC friends. Whatever God has planned for us I'm all for.

Shred Challenge

I've told a lot of people, but I'm going to get in shape! While I may not be overweight, I am weak and have no cardio. And my butt wants to go up a pant size. So. I've done through Day 6 now of 30 Day Shred and I'm so proud of myself! Already I can see very slight changes (I may be overly optimistic). Just in 5 days I went from not hardly being able to do most of the video (30 minutes) without taking breaks, to now I can almost do the whole Level 1 through. Yesterday though, after taking off the weekend, it was REALLY hard to do the video. I'm sore again. Hayley says I need to eat more protein.

So, I really want to do this for 30 days. After 30 days, I'll re-assess and see what kind of workouts I want to do. Nothing huge, just where I feel good, am toned, and can eat whatever I want (within reason). I think I really like videos because I can do them in the privacy of my house and no one can hear how my jumping jacks sound like elephant gymnastics on my hardwood floors. Yay for videos!

Spaghettios

I'd like to take a moment to write an Ode to Spaghettios and how much they mean to me.

Ode to Spaghettios
by Jenna Bolerjack

Oh Spaghettios, how I love you
you are so quick and easy, and tasty too.
When Blake is gone and there is no food,
you are the one I choose: you Spaghettios, you.

While some may question my juvenile love affair
Let me ask, have you tried Spaghettios? Obviously ne'er.
For if one had ever tried Spaghettios, there would be no question
Of what one could eat with such satisfying digestion.

Spaghettios oh Spaghettios, I will never forsake thee
Always one can, one can AT LEAST in my pantry.

Played Hooky

Sorry small group. We could have gone to group last night...but we played hooky. Well, I played hooky, Blake was all ready to go. I just got 'peopled out' this weekend. That's what I call it when I would rather not see anyone and just curl up in a ball on the couch or just spend time with Blake. I get 'peopled out' pretty easily. But we saw different people for extended lengths on both Saturday and Sunday, so by Sunday night I was just ready to spend time with Blake before having to go to work, and him leaving for a week. So this week I am going to clean the house. When Blake's gone I clean...so much easier that way. Though he does help me a lot when I ask. I've learned that if I ask him to clean during commercials, he is more receptive to that than a power clean all at once. Don't ask me why. That baffles me because I'd rather just get it all done. Like taxes, he'd rather do them in stages and teensy bit at a time. I'd rather spend a whole weekend devoted to putting it all together (it's a bear since Blake is "self-employed") so I don't have to do bits on it every day. Oh well. I've learned though how to get the most out of him ;)

Anyway so yeah I was peopled out so that is why we didn't come last night. Sorry! But I'm better now after a refreshing night.
